Congressional Visits Day
Scientists, students, and certified professionals are highly effective advocates for food, agriculture, and natural resources research funding. Our annual Congressional Visits Day gives ASA, CSSA and SSSA members an opportunity to engage with Capitol Hill and show the value and impact of research funding.
Society members with an interest in science advocacy can apply to participate in Congressional Visits Day.

Awards Applications: Open October 1 and close on December 4, 2024.
Future Leaders in Science Awards - graduate student members
Excellence in Advocacy Award - non-student members (early, mid, or late career members)
All recipients will receive policy, communication, and advocacy training to prepare you to effectively work with members of Congress and their staff.
