Description
A soil core is being collected and laid out in a core box using a bucket auger. When doing so, it is very important to measure the depth of the hole after every auger bucket is collected and make the depth of the soil material in the core box match the depth of the hole (note the tape measure prominently displayed in the foreground of the photo).
